Who Is Eligible to Be a Beneficiary?

The Words for Wounds (Des Mots sur des Maux) program is designed for individuals living in the Democratic Republic of Congo who are experiencing emotional, psychological, or social difficulties and are in need of a safe space for listening and support.

Beneficiaries may include:

• Individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, or emotional distress;

• Victims of physical, psychological, or sexual violence;

• Displaced persons, refugees, or individuals affected by armed conflict;

• Individuals who have experienced trauma, grief, or a significant loss;

• Youth, adults, or families facing personal, family, or community challenges;

• Anyone seeking psychological or emotional support in a caring and confidential environment.

The program is open to all, regardless of gender, ethnic background, religion, economic status, or level of education. Our goal is to make psychological support accessible to those who need it most while respecting their dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.
